Galaxy Glass Paperweight

I'm really excited about my newest galaxy glass paperweight. I remember when I first started glassblowing I visited a shop in Amherst where they had all these large marbles that were like worlds within worlds. Since then I've always wanted to make pieces that felt like you were discovering something.

I've got some other ideas for space glass pieces, I found out you can buy opal rings as well as spheres, so I could make the rings of Saturn. I want to come up with new ways of combing the silver and gold as well, I'm thinking by layering them I could create more realistic nebulas.
